Hydrangea

A shade-loving flowering deciduous shrub, sizes ranges based on variety and cultivar. In most species the flowers are white, but in some species (notably H. macrophylla), can be blue, red, pink, light purple, or dark purple. In these species the color is affected by the pH of the soil; acidic soils produce blue flowers, neutral soils produce very pale cream petals, and alkaline soils results in pink or purple.

There are over 20 species of LLilacs, which are a woody plant in the olive family (Oleaceae), native to woodland and scrub from southeastern Europe to eastern Asia. Lilacs are deciduous shrubs ranging from 6'-32' tall. Lilac flowers are produced in spring and have a strong fragrance.
Natives to Roester are very familiar with Lilacs, our city hosts the Annual Lilac Festival which is the longest running festival in North America. The festival has been held since 1898 in the historic Highland Park and has the most varieties of lilacs in any single place, many developed in Rochester.

One of the early blooming perennials in our region. Crocus aer commonly seen in purple, yellow and white, but a wdie variety of cultivars of varing shades exist. Crocus belong to the iris family and is native to Europe, West and Central Asia. The flowers are very impressive and beautiful and give us one of the first signs of spring.

Jade is an indoor succulent plant with small pink or white flowers. This plant is very low maintenence. The structure of the branches and dark green leaves will accent any room.
